Hypsi Restaurant seeks an enthusiastic Restaurant Server to join the team! You will be part of a team that is passionate about celebrating creativity and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

I joined as a server on the catering staff. Thanks to Hyatt's training and support, I now oversee a brilliant team that helps brings events to life.

Tucked into the heart of Houston Heights, our full-service Italian restaurant and lounge offers an elevated escape—serving aperitivo-style cocktails and housemade pasta. A true neighborhood gathering spot, we feature a roving tableside mozzarella cart, lumache alla vodka, squid ink radiatori, Duroc pork Milanese, and pistachio pie. We’re always aperitifs, sun-drenched patios, al fresco dining, and lively conversation. Our doors are open to all looking for a good time.

A server is responsible for delivering an exceptional and personalized dining experience through attentive, knowledgeable, and refined service. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of food, beverages, and menu storytelling while anticipating guest needs with genuine hospitality. They excel in a fast ‑ paced, elevated dining setting where precision, grace, and consistency are essential.

• Greet guests warmly and provide an outstanding dining experience.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Offer menu recommendations and answer guest questions about ingredients, dietary restrictions, and pairings.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and order accuracy.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including table settings and service stations.
• Process payments accurately and handle cash or credit transactions.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and bartenders to ensure smooth service flow.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed.

• Previous serving experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor and a passion for hospitality.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
