Job Summary
The Village Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the day-to-day food and beverage operations of the Bear Valley Resort Village outlets, including Creekside Bistro, Sky High Pizza Bar, and Grizzly Lounge.

This position has overall responsibility for front of house operations at all three outlets, including bartenders, servers, bar operations, staffing, and service standards. The Manager is also responsible for the front and back of house operations at Sky High Pizza Bar, including kitchen staff, food production, inventory, and kitchen operations.

The Village Food & Beverage Manager works evenings in line with operating hours and coordinates other department leaders to maintain efficient operations, control labor and operating costs, support sales, and provide a positive guest and employee experience.

• Manage front of house operations at Creekside Bistro, Sky High Pizza Bar, and Grizzly Lounge, including bartenders, servers, guest service, and bar operations.
• Manage Sky High Pizza Bar front and back of house operations, including kitchen staff, food production, ordering, inventory, and food quality.
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and manage performance of front and back of house employees within areas of responsibility.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and manage labor within established budgets.
• Ensure outlets maintain established standards for service, cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
• Provide hands-on operational support by bartending, serving, or assisting in the kitchen when needed to maintain service and staffing levels.
• Oversee POS, cash handling, timekeeping, and other front of house operating procedures.
• Monitor sales, labor, food and beverage costs, inventory, and waste within areas of responsibility.
• Address guest and employee concerns and resolve operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with the Director of Food & Beverage and other department managers regarding staffing, purchasing, events, promotions, and daily operational needs.
• Support special events and other Food & Beverage operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

• 3–5 years of progressive food and beverage, restaurant or hospitality management experience.
• Strong knowledge of food service, kitchen, bar, purchasing, inventory, and cost control operations.
• Previous experience with staff supervision, scheduling, payroll, training, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, cash handling, and alcohol service requirements; maintains required certifications.
• Comfortable working with POS systems, Microsoft Windows, and other standard business technology.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain effective in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to understand and work with basic financial, labor, and operational information.
• Maintains professional working relationships with employees, managers, vendors, guests, and other departments.
