Responsibilities
- Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards; conduct safety sweeps; comply with forklift, hazardous‑materials, and steel standards; correct or report unsafe conditions.
- Ensure the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised per company policy; handle claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
- Present and maintain merchandise presentation: stock merchandise, set up, clean, and organize displays; remove damaged goods; sign and price appropriately; secure fragile and high‑shrink items.
- Monitor tire and battery order status; assist members with appointments; communicate lead‑time changes or cancellations; recommend alternative installations or tire fitments; provide maintenance and repair services.
- Provide expert member service: greet members; identify needs; assist with purchasing and service decisions; resolve concerns; recommend suitable tire and battery products; explain warranties; ensure value.
- Drive sales and service excellence by communicating the value of merchandise and services; collaborate with associates to promote TBC offerings.
- Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays using Sam’s Garage to identify waiting members; assess service queue and time requirements; prioritize appointments; re‑prioritize members and recommend to Team Lead or Technicians.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols; tire and battery industry guidelines; service standards; equipment operations; TPMS; product specifications; seasonality; POS systems; phone and in‑person selling techniques.
- Leverage technology: use digital tools and handheld devices for sales planning, real‑time decisions, product training; promote adoption of new tools among team members.
- Act as a brand advocate: model high‑quality service; influence team; assist in training members.
- Operate TBC equipment properly and safely; manage merchandise and supplies; complete required documentation; process purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges per procedures.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; implement action plans; use the Open Door Policy; execute business processes.
- Manage work assignments and priorities; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; set priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; suggest improvements; adapt to change and feedback.

- Valid state‑issued driver's license.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Experience in auto service industry.
- Retail experience.
