Store Manager - Zales - Mall at Wellington Green

Store Manager

Reports to:

District Manager

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of a single store to achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team member growth.
• Develop and coach store staff, ensuring consistent brand communication and implementation of in‑store visual merchandising.
• Deliver a best‑in‑class customer experience through training, outreach, and prompt resolution of customer issues.
• Set sales projections and quotas, monitor performance, analyze reports, and devise strategies to maximize sales and profit margins.
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and merchandising promotions in alignment with corporate strategies.
• Maintain a “People First” environment, fostering diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement.
• Collaborate with other store managers to share resources, best practices, and support shared objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and visual standards.
• Prepare and submit operational, financial, and inventory reports as required.

• Education:
  
  Minimum of 2 years college preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3 years retail sales experience, or 2 years retail sales plus 1 year retail management experience; preference for specialty retail or jewelry experience.
• Certification:
  Diamond Council of America (DCA) certification is preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Advanced communication (written & verbal); proficiency in MS Office; strong interpersonal, presentation, problem‑solving, and conflict‑management abilities.
• Other:
  Ability to work independently, plan and organize, set priorities, delegate, and understand detailed information.
• Additional:
  Bilingual skills are a plus.

During non‑peak periods the schedule aims for a five‑day, 40‑hour work week encompassing opening and closing shifts, weekday and weekend coverage. Hours may increase during peak selling periods.

Responsible for standing, reaching, moving between display cases, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling or crouching as needed. Must lift up to 10 pounds. Requires visual acuity for gemstone inspection.
