Deli Counter
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Deli Counter to join our grocery store team. The ideal candidate will assist customers with meat selections, ensure product quality, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. If you're detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, we'd love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with meat selections and special orders
- Package various meat products according to store standards
- Stock and rotate products in meat displays to ensure freshness
- Label and price meat packages accurately
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
- Clean and maintain cutting equipment, tools, and work areas
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or spoilage
Qualifications:
- Previous meat department or food prep experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including afternoons/evenings, weekends, and holidays
