Operations The Retail Specialist team member contributes to a positive retail experience for Ark Encounter guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about Answers in Genesis attractions, serving others, enthusiastic, energetic, and able to change focus based on immediate needs.

• Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
• Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
• Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
• Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
• This role is primarily responsible for inventory control. This consists of unloading pallets, unpacking boxes/totes, pricing and labeling products, replenishing sales floor from backstock, store recovery, and maintaining stockroom organization.
• Maintain a safe environment for guests and staff by ensuring walkways are clear of products, boxes, and spills.

• Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
• Proactively greet and assist guests on the sales floor with product and attraction inquiries.
• Cashier when needed.
• And all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

• Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
• Flexibility with schedule that allows for working first or second shift as needed, any day of the week, and holidays.
• Customer service skills: friendly and courteous with guests
• Strong oral communication skills: comfortable giving directions to guest
• Basic math skills: accuracy in cash and financial transactions with guests
• Good problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand and move about throughout the attraction for the entire length of shift.
• Bend and lift between 25 to 75 pounds.
