Summary
Inventories, stores, prices, loads, cleans, and restocks merchandise in retail store by performing the following duties; must deal directly with customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be replenished; receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received; attaches or changes price tags on shelves and/or merchandise; stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise; sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales;
cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles; packs customer purchases in bags or cartons; transports purchases to specified vehicle for customer.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight and measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer
Skills:
Must be able to master basic computer peripheral devices including but not limited to: keyboard, touch screens, mouse pointers, and scanners.
