* What You’ll Do:

** As a Cashier/Cart Attendant, you are the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store.  You'll:
* Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
* Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
* Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
* Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
* Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
* Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
* Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
* Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
* Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
* Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
* Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
* Perishable and salvage returns.
* Basic store and restroom cleaning.
* Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.  This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required.
