* JOB SUMMARY:

** The Cashier serves as the team member for all functions of point of sales transactions. Working closely with all store personnel, they provide high quality customer service.
** JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* · Greets, directs and assists customers.
· Operates the Counterpoint point of sales system
· Processes transactions in the point of sales system
· Receives and processes payment from customers – credit card and customer account sales
· Processes customer orders, backorders, drop shipments and researches customer orders
· Assists customers with unique and hard-to-find items
· Ensures cleanliness of store; sweeps and cleans the sales counter and surrounding area as needed
· Assists in stocking of shelves and items
· Completes special projects as needed
· Works with store management to create a safe, clean, and healthy work environment
· Other duties as assigned## Qualifications
** EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:

* · High School diploma or equivalent required
· Experience as a cashier
· Nonprofit experience a plus
** SKILLS/ABILITIES:*
* · Customer Service Skills required
· Basic math skills
· Ability to stock shelves
· Ability to read credit card numbers (if needed with the aid of a magnifier, or CCTV)
· Basic computer and key boarding skills
· Ability to visually locate and scan bar codes
· Must be regular and good in attendance
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision
· Must be a team player

* PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Must be able to move around the floor without assistance
