Personal Banker - Highway

General Function

The Person al Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. This role processes teller transactions and works as a member of the platform staff, helping customers understand and address their financial needs through a consultative sales and service process. The banker ensures compliance with risk policies and strives to create a positive customer experience.

• Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach efforts in person, over the phone, or other channels as appropriate.
• Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
• Maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
• Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customers' needs are met and all problems are resolved.
• Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information to ensure customers are in the appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
• Provide customer support needed reinforcing the value of current and new technology.
• Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
• Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling ethical behavior expected from every employee within the Bancorp.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or college degree or equivalent military experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
• Exhibits business acumen and demonstrates the ability to make sound decisions.
• SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Normal office environment with extended viewing of computer screens.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skill set, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
