Travel Advisor Consultant – Discovering the World, One Member at a Time! A love of travel drives many to this field. To succeed, a Consultant must be passionate about travel, possess a strong sales drive, excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in computers and programs, good written and oral communication, and a willingness to engage in continuous learning are essential.
Responsibilities- Sell international and domestic travel packages, including cruises, land packages, itineraries, air, car, and hotel.
- Share knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and educational study trips.
- Develop long‑standing relationships with members, building referral and repeat business.
- Provide tailored recommendations to ensure the trip experience exceeds expectations.
- Cross‑sell relevant products such as the AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identity‑theft protection.
As your career progresses, you will be evaluated on sales, customer service, administrative, operational, up‑selling, cross‑selling skills and goal attainment. Successful completion may lead to managerial leadership opportunities.

- Available to work most Saturdays and occasional evenings.
- Successful completion of the Travel Consultant Trainee program, which requires travel for training.
- Driven by sales and exceeding goals.
- Computer‑savvy: navigate multiple systems, web browsers, Microsoft Office, and type at least 30
WPM. - Comfortable with paperwork and highly organized.
- Starting pay $23.50 per hour; earnings increase with performance.
- Potential to earn $55,000–$65,000 annually through base pay and incentives; top performers can exceed $85,000 in an uncapped commission structure.
