As a Travel Consultant, you will participate in a structured training program designed to develop expertise in travel sales, customer relationship management, business development, and customized travel planning. Through hands-on coaching and professional development, you'll learn how to build lasting client relationships, grow a personal book of business, and deliver exceptional travel experiences.

This position is designed as a developmental role with the goal of progressing into a Travel Consultant position based on demonstrated performance, sales achievement, customer service excellence, and successful completion of training requirements.

The Travel Consultant Trainee is a sales-focused position that combines travel planning, relationship building, networking, and business development. In this role, you will work directly with clients to recommend and sell travel products, create customized itineraries, and develop long-term customer relationships.

Success in this role requires strong sales aptitude, organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and a proactive approach to generating new business through referrals, networking, and community engagement.

AAA provides comprehensive training through Auto Club University, designed to equip Travel Consultant Trainees with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

The trainee program may require occasional travel for training and educational opportunities.

Sell a variety of domestic and international travel products and services, including:

• Cruises
• Guided tours
• Vacation packages
• Hotels
• Airfare
• Car rentals
• Travel insurance

Create customized travel itineraries tailored to each client's preferences, budget, and travel goals.

Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and travel expertise.

Build and manage a personal portfolio of customers through:

• Referrals
• Networking
• Community outreach
• Local partnerships
• Business development activities

Manage prospects throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial consultation through booking and post-travel follow-up.

Recommend relevant AAA products and services that enhance the travel experience.

Stay informed on travel destinations, industry trends, supplier offerings, and promotional opportunities.

Consistently achieve or exceed established sales, service, and productivity goals.

Maintain confidentiality of all client information in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

This is an on-site, sales-focused role that combines travel consultations, customer relationship management, business development, and community engagement.

Successful Travel Consultants actively build their client base by developing local relationships, attending networking and community events, generating referrals, and promoting AAA Travel services.

Availability to work most Saturdays and occasional evenings may be required to support customer needs and business objectives.
