Position OverviewYou will own PDM’s Manufacturing vertical
—industrial, automotive, and semiconductor facilities—selling transformers, switch gear, and critical power equipment through EPCs, national distributors, and e-house builders
.
We are hiring three Account Managers into this vertical. The ideal candidate has sold critical power for an industrial equipment manufacturer or a national distributor and knows how to work the channel rather than around it.
What You’ll Do- Own and grow a strategic book of business across the Manufacturing segment:
- Industrial: heavy manufacturing, process plants, water/wastewater, logistics
- Automotive: OEM assembly plants, battery and EV component facilities
- Semiconductors: fabs, clean rooms, and supporting infrastructure
- Sell through and with the channel:
- EPCs and design/build firms
- National and regional electrical distributors
- E-house integrators and packaged power solution builders
- OEMs and industrial equipment manufacturers
- Develop channel-specific sales strategies, joint go-to-market campaigns, and distributor enablement
- Interpret one-line diagrams and MEP drawings and perform accurate material takeoffs for e-house and skid packages
- Track customer specifications, project timelines, and technical requirements
Lead customer presentations, proposal reviews, plant walk-throughs, and facility tours - Work cross-functionally with engineering, quoting, and factory teams
- Maintain CRM for pipeline tracking and forecasting
- 5+ years of critical power sales experience with an industrial equipment manufacturer or national distributor
- Proven track record targeting EPCs, national distributors, and e-house builders
- Experience in industrial, automotive, or semiconductor end markets
- Strong understanding of high-, medium-, and low-voltage distribution systems
- Ability to read electrical one-lines, takeoffs, and construction drawings
- Comfort managing both direct and channel-led sales motions
- CRM fluency (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or Hub Spot);
Bluebeam a plus - Based in Texas or on the East Coast, with willingness to travel up to 50%
