- External $140-175k base salary
- 25-40 Basis points on Commissions Externals

We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and strategically minded External Wholesaler to lead sales efforts across the New England region. This territory includes a mix of top-tier wirehouse teams and large independent broker-dealer and hybrid advisors. The role requires strong platform fluency, deep relationship-management skills, and the ability to position sophisticated alternative investment strategies across a broad range of advisor profiles.
This position is part of a growing distribution team and is responsible for representing a platform of institutional alternative investment strategies, including flagship interval fund offerings and private markets infrastructure strategies developed in partnership with leading global alternative asset managers.
- Build and deepen relationships with financial advisors across wirehouse and independent broker-dealer platforms
- Drive sales of interval funds and alternative investment solutions, including diversified credit and infrastructure strategies, as well as future product launches
- Deliver high-impact advisor meetings, portfolio positioning discussions, client event support, and educational sessions
- Navigate complex distribution platforms to optimize product access, approvals, and visibility
Partner closely with internal wholesalers to execute strategic territory coverage and targeted campaign planning - Maintain strong CRM discipline (Salesforce), ensuring accurate pipeline management and activity reporting
- Act as a local brand ambassador, reinforcing the firm’s value proposition in private markets and alternative investments
- Stay current on market trends, advisor sentiment, and competitive positioning to proactively address objections and refine messaging
- BA/BS degree with 5–10 years of external wholesaling experience in investment management
- Series 7 and 63 or 66 required
- Proven track record of raising assets across multiple channels, particularly wirehouse and IBD
- Strong understanding of platform dynamics, product approval processes, and advisor segmentation
- Experience positioning alternative investments (interval funds, BDCs, private credit, private real assets)
- Knowledge of private markets, credit strategies, or infrastructure investing strongly preferred
- Ability to travel regularly within territory and to national meetings as needed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM system
- CAIA or CFA a plus
- A high degree of intellectual curiosity, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset
