As a Leasing Consultant, you'll be one of the first faces prospective residents meet—and you'll play an important role in helping them discover why Locklyn could be their next home. From giving engaging property tours and following up with prospects to preparing leases and welcoming new residents, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference throughout the entire leasing experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Meet with prospective tenants, show them units that meets their needs. Show the property and its amenities.
  • Complete guest cards, applications, leasing information, and relevant information in Yardi.
  • Assist residents in accessing their portal in Yardi.
  • Maintain resident files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage resident move-ins and move-outs.
  • Maintain calendars and update unit availability daily.
  • Assist in marketing functions including creating flyers, market surveys, shopping competitive properties.
  • Assist in planning and executing resident events. Attend and participate as host as directed by Property Manager. Take photos and video as needed for marketing efforts.
  • Provide phone and administrative support.
  • Actively work to resolve resident complaints. Direct to Property Manager or maintenance, as needed.

    Experience and Education
    • This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent
    • One year’s experience in residential property management or related field is preferred
    • Ability to fluently read and write English, accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and use all on-site resident management software functions
    • Experience in the service industry is preferred
    Licenses/Equipment
    • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance required; position requires own vehicle to fulfill all job’s functions.
    Physical Demands

    Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. The employee will be regularly required to sit; stand; walk; reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands; talk and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to climb. Specific vision requirements include the ability to use close vision; distance vision; color vision; depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    The employee will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends, as needed.

    Attendance/Travel

    This position is a full-time, hourly position. The work schedule will be Tu-Fr from 9:00 am
    -6:00 pm and every Saturday from 10:00 am
    -4:00 pm. This position requires the availability to work some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays if needed. This position also requires regular attendance and active participation/planning at all company functions and events.
