The Sales Director is a full-time, on-site role based at the Cincinnati Airport Marriott Hotel in Hebron, KY. This role is responsible for leading hotel sales efforts, including developing and executing sales strategies to grow transient, group, and event business. Day-to-day activities include managing key accounts, prospecting new corporate and leisure clients, conducting site tours, preparing proposals and contracts, and collaborating with the revenue management and operations teams to optimize occupancy and rate.
The Sales Director will analyze market trends, maintain relationships with local businesses and travel partners, and represent the hotel at industry and community events. This role also includes overseeing the sales team, setting performance goals, mentoring team members, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Demonstrated expertise in Sales and Business Development, with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets in hospitality or a related industry.
- Experience in Sales Operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and use of sales CRM tools.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships and manage complex client needs.
- Proven Team Management experience, including coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret market data and develop effective sales plans.
- Familiarity with hotel sales processes, group and event bookings, and revenue management principles is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency with common office software and hotel or sales management systems; ability to learn Marriott brand systems as needed.
