About the Role:

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading, developing, and growing a high-performing sales organization within the Unites States. This role is more than achieving sales targets—it is responsible for building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer partnership while aligning the sales organization with operations, engineering, clinical services, marketing, service, and executive leadership.

As a strategic leader, the Regional Sales Director shapes Business Development Managers into trusted healthcare consultants while ensuring cross-functional execution that delivers exceptional customer experiences from initial engagement through implementation and long-term partnership.

Success in this role is measured not only by revenue growth, but by team development, market expansion, customer retention, operational alignment, and contribution to the long-term growth strategy of MMIC and VERDA.

The ability to sell healthcare water systems, mobile healthcare systems, and service agreements throughout healthcare facilities while leading, developing, managing, and growing a sales organization.

You are skilled at building trust, navigating healthcare organizations, identifying opportunities, and driving sales growth through a disciplined and customer-focused approach. Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to improve healthcare operations and make a measurable impact on patient care.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities with SPD, Peri-Operative Services, and Biomedical Engineering teams across hospitals, ASCs, and IDN networks.
  • Manage full sales cycle: lead generation, needs assessment, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and proposal development.
  • Accurately track pipeline and forecast monthly/quarterly sales; meet or exceed revenue, margin, and contract targets.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Establish a culture focused on accountability, customer partnership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular field coaching, performance reviews, and sales development planning.
  • Mentor Business Development Managers in consultative selling, strategic account planning, and healthcare relationship management.
  • Build succession plans, accurate sales forecasting, and annual budgeting.
  • Develop and present tailored solutions for water purification, deionized/RO systems, water softening, point-of-use filtration, and maintenance/service packages that meet SPD regulatory, quality, and uptime requirements.
  • Maintain CRM records via Salesforce, produce sales reports, and contribute to product feedback and market intelligence both on the MMIC and Verda sides of business.
  • Conduct technical needs analysis and coordinate site surveys with internal technical teams and third-party contractors.
  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, ROI analyses, total cost of ownership (TCO) models, and compliance documentation (e.g., water quality standards relevant to sterilization).
  • Collaborate with service operations and sales engineering to define service-level agreements (SLAs), preventive maintenance plans, and emergency response processes.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and local customer meetings.
