Product Marketing Lead

Who This Is For

edisyl has built a product that works, is gaining traction, and can solve many different problems.

That creates a marketing challenge. When a product can do many things, it can be difficult for customers to understand where to start and why they need it.

We are looking for someone who can solve that problem.

You have helped bring a broad or technical product to market. You know how to identify the customer problem that matters most, explain the product clearly, and show how an initial use case can lead to much more over time.

You will learn from the customers already using the product, the prospects considering it, and the sales team speaking with them. You will use what you learn to create a clear and consistent story for edisyl.

The Role

You will own how edisyl presents itself to the market.

Your main challenge will be answering a simple question:
How do we clearly describe a product that can solve so many different problems?

The answer is not to list everything the product can do. It is to identify the right problem to lead with, the customers who care about it most, and the results they can expect.

You will help us explain:

  • The important customer problem we solve

  • The best first use case for each type of customer

  • Why edisyl is different from existing options

  • How customers can expand their use of the product over time

This is not mainly a demand generation or content production role. The product already exists and is gaining traction.

Your job is to turn that traction into a clear story that customers can understand, remember, and buy.

What You’ll Actually Do
  • Define how we describe edisyl, the problem it solves, the customers it serves, and what makes it different.

  • Identify the customer problems and use cases we should lead with.

  • Decide how to explain the broader value of the product without making it sound vague or unfocused.

  • Speak regularly with customers, prospects, and the sales team to understand what creates interest and what causes confusion.

  • Study successful and unsuccessful sales opportunities to improve our message.

  • Identify the types of organizations and buyers most likely to need the product.

  • Turn complex product capabilities into clear business value.

  • Create and improve the website, sales deck, product pages, demos, customer stories, and other core materials.

  • Give the sales team clear language, examples, and proof they can use in customer conversations.

  • Build case studies and customer stories that show what the product does in practice.

  • Help plan how new features and products are introduced to customers and the market.

  • Work with product, sales, customer success, and leadership so the company tells one consistent story.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

The right buyers can understand what edisyl does in a few sentences and see why it is relevant to them.

The company has a clear and consistent message across the website, sales materials, product demonstrations, and customer conversations.

Sales knows which problems and use cases to lead with for different buyers. Prospects understand the product faster, and fewer sales conversations stall because the product feels too broad or difficult to explain.

Customers can see both the immediate reason to buy and the longer-term value of the product.

We have strong customer stories, clear examples, and measurable results that make the product easier to trust.

Success means edisyl has a clear place in the customer’s mind.

Compensation

Competitive base salary and meaningful early-stage equity based on the ownership this role carries. We will share the full details in our first conversation.

Experience
  • Around seven or more years in product marketing or a related role.

  • Experience marketing a broad or technical product whose value was not immediately clear from its features.

  • Experience developing positioning based on customer interviews, sales conversations, and product usage.

  • Experience choosing which market, customer problem, or use case a product should lead with.

  • Experience marketing enterprise software, ideally involving AI, data, analytics,…
