ABOUTTHE ROLE
As Director of Field Sales, you own field sales leadership across Insurcomm's regional sales organization. You build and run a structured, disciplined sales playbook across every territory, setting activity standards, coaching Regional Sales Managers and Business Development Managers, and driving consistent execution across markets.
You own revenue generation and spend the majority of your time in the field, holding the team accountable for the adjuster, carrier, and referral relationships that drive assignment volume. Success requires proven field sales leadership, the discipline to build and enforce a repeatable playbook, and the credibility to coach a distributed sales team.
WHAT YOU'LL DOSales Leadership & Team Management- Directly manage Regional Sales Managers, with responsibility for their performance, development, and quota attainment.
- Hold Regional Sales Managers and Business Development Managers accountable to activity and revenue targets through regular one on ones, ridealongs, and team meetings.
- Ensure the team builds and maintains the adjuster, carrier, and local referral relationships that drive assignment volume.
- Own regional territory design, account assignment, and the surge and mobilization plan for catastrophe and large loss events.
- Identify underperforming territories or reps early and drive corrective action plans.
- Build, document, and refine a structured sales playbook, including weekly touch and in person visit standards per rep.
- Standardize prospecting, account planning, pipeline management, and pricing guardrails across all regions.
- Partner with Revenue Operations to align the playbook with CRM structure, reporting, and forecasting.
- Partner with Strategic Accounts, Customer Intake, Operations, and Marketing to keep sales commitments, handoffs, and demand generation on track.
- Provide Fortify leadership with regular visibility into field sales performance and market conditions.
- Participate in hiring for Regional Sales Managers and Business Development Managers and build a bench for future growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the team and business.
- A field sales organization that runs on a consistent, disciplined playbook rather than individual habits or branch level improvisation.
- National carrier commitments that carry through consistently at the local level, with Regional Sales Managers coached to independently drive their teams.
- Predictable quota attainment across every territory, disciplined pipeline and margin management, and a repeatable ramp process for new hires.
- A field sales leader who has carried a bag and led a team, and knows the difference between managing activity and managing outcomes.
- A coach first, who builds structure and develops Regional Sales Managers into leaders, not just top performers.
- Comfortable running a weekly operating cadence of pipeline reviews, ridealongs, and structured coaching conversations.
