Main Objective: As an Cardiothoracic Sternal Closure Specialist, the employee’s essential job functions include sales, representation, and technical support on products that include, but are not limited to the following categories:
Capital (surgical video, integration, shaver, fluid management, and radio-frequency products), Shoulder (soft tissue, bone, trauma, total shoulder, positioning products for the shoulder and upper extremities), Knee and Hip (soft tissue, bone, trauma, positioning products for the knee, hip, and lower extremities), Distal Extremity (soft tissue, bone, trauma, positioning products for the elbow, wrist, hand, foot, and ankle), Biologics (allograft materials for bone and soft tissue substitution, augmentation, and plasma rich protein products for indicated use throughout the body), Arthroplasty (joint replacement and realignment procedures and techniques) and Cardiothoracic (soft tissue, bone, trauma, positioning products for the sternum).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Agency Account Executive:
    Maintains, strengthens, and/or expands existing relationships with selected accounts.
  • Agency Account Executive:
    Develops, implements, and monitors sales and finance plans with these accounts.
  • Agency Account Executive:
    Develops, directs, coordinates, and monitors sales with appropriate contacts (National Accounts, Regional Management, Agency Leadership, and Technology Consultants).
  • Agency Account Executive:
    Has or will obtain a thorough understanding of selected account sales history, surgeon customers, buying group affiliations, objectives, and structure.
  • Evaluates strategic opportunities with select accounts and outlines solutions in meetings with Agency Leadership.
  • Responsibile for demonstrate and convey the proper use and application of products and surgical techniques to surgeon's, medical staffs, and other pertinent facility personnel.
  • Attends industry meetings and applicable Sales and Medical Education Trainings, if appropriate.
  • Provides market expertise Agencies accounts.
  • Writes a monthly, mid-year and annual reports to update Agency Leadership.
  • Demonstrates effective organizational skills, not limited, to Inventory and Freight Management.
  • In-field set up, maintenance, and surveillance of products

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent medical work experience required
  • 2+ years Demonstrating successful sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably Cardiac or Orthopedic Sales

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Experienced and comfortable making executive ("C" level) presentations.
  • Must be able to comfortably present to 10 or more people in difficult negotiations.
  • Knowledge of surgical cardiothoracic procedures.
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates activities to achieve desired results.
  • Comprehensive product training also requires the additional ability to handle and report product complaint and FDA required medical device reporting via the Product Surveillance Department.
