About the role Who we are
About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Private Equity and Advisory Partnerships (PEP) team manages Stripe’s relationships with growth equity, private equity, and advisory firms. The team works with investors and advisors to help portfolio companies use Stripe to grow revenue and improve profitability.

What you’ll do

You will lead a team of Partnerships Managers and shape the strategy for expanding Stripe product use across private equity-backed companies. You will build relationships with investors, advisors, and portfolio company leaders, then work with Stripe’s sales, product, marketing, and operations teams to identify and develop long-term business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Partnerships Managers with experience in sales and private equity
  • Set the team’s long-term vision and strategy, manage day-to-day operations, and deliver against key metrics
  • Build and maintain partner-level relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies through strategic planning and collaboration
  • Partner with Americas and global go-to-market leadership to communicate the team’s strategy, results, performance metrics, and industry insights
  • Work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, and product management to deliver the program’s goals
  • Represent Stripe in the financial sponsor ecosystem, including through relevant industry events and speaking opportunities
  • Advise private equity firms on prospective investment opportunities and payments monetization across their portfolios, and educate financial sponsors on Stripe’s products, roadmap, and vision for financial technology and money movement
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting, including 5+ years of people management experience
  • 7+ years of experience working with senior executives
  • 5+ years of experience using data and metrics to drive commercial outcomes for a business and its customers or partners
Preferred requirements
  • Experience at a technology or payments company
  • Experience creating and implementing a strategic plan for a growing team
  • Strong relationship-building skills and attention to detail, with the ability to cultivate partnerships and oversee programs at scale
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects and multiple priorities, with strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of investment terminology and relevant industry performance metrics
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
