About Medivant Healthcare
Medivant Healthcare is seeking an experienced hospital commercial leader to build and lead the next phase of our hospital business.
Medivant is a rapidly growing pharmaceutical manufacturer/FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility with an expanding portfolio of ready-to-use sterile injectable products. We have established access through all national GPOs and are now looking for a senior commercial leader who can turn that access into meaningful and sustainable hospital and health-system business.
This is not a role for someone who simply wants to manage an existing sales organization. We are looking for a builder someone who understands how hospitals and IDNs make purchasing decisions, has personally developed major health-system relationships, and is comfortable getting directly involved in opening and closing strategic accounts.
The VP, Hospital Sales will own the hospital commercial strategy and work closely with our CEO, CMO and broader executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute Medivant’s national hospital and IDN sales strategy.
- Develop relationships with major health systems, IDNs, hospital pharmacy leaders and other key decision-makers.
- Convert Medivant’s Premier, Health Trust and Vizient contracts into actual utilization, recurring purchase orders and long-term customer relationships.
- Personally lead strategic account development, presentations, negotiations and contracting with major health systems.
- Develop the commercial strategy for Medivant’s growing portfolio of ready-to-use prefilled syringes and sterile injectable products.
- Work directly with customers to identify unmet product and supply needs and partner internally with manufacturing, operations and product development to evaluate new opportunities.
- Build and manage a disciplined commercial pipeline with clear visibility into evaluations, formulary decisions, conversions, utilization and revenue.
- Leverage Medivant’s existing inside-sales and commercial support resources while initially maintaining a lean US organization.
- Build additional US sales resources selectively as the business and demonstrated customer opportunity justify the investment.
- Represent the hospital business as a member of Medivant’s senior leadership team and present hospital strategy, performance and growth plans to the Board of Directors quarterly.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates with substantial experience selling into hospitals and large IDNs. Experience with 503B outsourcing facilities, sterile injectables, ready-to-use products, hospital pharmacy or pharmaceutical national accounts would be highly relevant.
The successful candidate should have a strong existing network within the hospital and health-system market and be comfortable personally developing business rather than relying entirely on a field sales organization.
We value people who are entrepreneurial, commercially accountable and comfortable operating with significant autonomy. This role requires someone who can move between strategy and execution from developing a national account strategy to personally sitting across the table from a customer and closing the business.
Location and Travel
This position can be based remotely within the United States.
Travel to customers, health systems, trade shows, industry meetings and other commercial opportunities will be required based on business needs.
Medivant is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. The VP will be expected to attend quarterly…
