This individual will maximize revenues for Omni Hotels & Resorts through direct sales, marketing and designated activities specific to Leisure Sales accounts. Success is measured through increased revenues from the Leisure Sales segment, improved account revenue share and increased customer value. This role reports into the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in directing, controlling, and implementing strategies and activities to generate and maximize overall revenue, through marketing, sales, promotion, advertising, and public relations.
  • Maintain emphasis on exceeding established group rate guidelines.
  • Assist Director of Marketing in developing, maintaining, and implementing strategies/ action plans to generate revenues for the hotel.
  • Stimulate productivity of all sales staff through guidance, development, and support.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement creative packages to fill identified need periods in all markets.
  • Active solicitation of key accounts to generate direct sales.
  • Maintain Sales Team’s focus on a Proactive Solicitation environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Ensure that all administrative procedures are in place and functioning effectively.
  • Ensure that all required reports are completed on a timely basis.
  • Promote high visibility of hotel through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows.
  • Ensure a challenging and exciting environment to encourage full career development and personal growth.
  • Support and promote all Corporate programs to increase customer awareness of Omni Hotels and ensure that the customer receives the appropriate benefits of each program.
  • Effectively maintain accounts to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify and stay abreast of industry trends to provide leadership and education regarding the Leisure Segment.
  • Work closely with DOSMs to effectively communicate new trends and develop strategies to increase revenue.
  • Responsible for management of customer decisions and the relationship process.
  • Responsible for directing and leading activities through internal and external resources.
  • Define and improve customer value proposition by assessing the competitive area as it relates to segment.
  • Work closely with all levels of the organization to resolve complex issues or concerns; communicating in a clear concise manner.
  • Administer weekly 1:1 with each Sales Manager.
  • Exceed monthly room night production goal and hotel budget.
  • Conduct monthly department meetings.
  • Champion the Omni / Power of One culture.
Qualifications:
  • This position requires demonstrated excellence in group sales through tenured experience. Minimum 5 years of Group Sales experience in a senior sales or national account management role in a full service Resort or Hotel. College degree is also preferred.
  • Must be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral.
  • Strong business planning, account planning and budget management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative to develop strategies that will drive revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to tie strategies and planned actions to results.
  • Strong financial/statistical analysis and business case development skills.
  • Strong understanding and expertise in the sales process.
  • Extensive experience with account management.
  • Proficient in use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to sit and utilize telephone/computer for an extended period.
Working Environment:
  • Interior of hotel, in normal office conditions.
