Hyatt Regency Dallas is seeking an experienced Group Sales Manager to join our highly skilled and recognized Sales team. This role offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career in hotel sales while representing one of Dallas' most iconic properties.
Located downtown next to Reunion Tower, Hyatt Regency Dallas is seeking a Group Sales Manager with previous full-service hotel sales experience. The role is responsible for selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to group customers, managing accounts, conducting site inspections, and proactively generating new business. The Sales Manager will prepare and present compelling proposals, maintain accurate documentation and reports, utilize Hyatt systems, and coordinate customer needs with our events and catering partners.
The role also participates in and may lead event, sales and department meetings and works closely with administrative and support teams. This position carries a performance quota.
Responsibilities include:
Target group accounts with a focus on 10-100 rooms on peak within the assigned geographic, vertical and/or territory market, with an emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels, including Regional Sales Offices, CVB partners, the Hyatt Sales Force, third parties and representative firms, to ensure coordinated sales efforts.
Proactively identify, qualify and solicit new business to achieve personal and hotel sales revenue goals.
Achieve monthly room night, revenue and individual business goals.
Close the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions, customer needs and hotel priorities.
Maintain a strong understanding of the assigned market, including competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and other factors that influence business.
Build and strengthen relationships with key internal and external customers while delivering a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Develop relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, site inspections and other proactive sales activities.
Effectively leverage sales resources and administrative support to maximize productivity and results.
Prepare contracts and creative proposals that meet customer needs and support hotel business objectives.
Provide accurate, complete and effective turnover to Conference Services.
Develop clear and effective Road Maps and SMART plans to support account growth and market strategy.
Communicate clearly and professionally, presenting ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized manner.
Maintain consistent communication with group contacts before, during and after meetings to encourage rebooking and identify additional opportunities within the account.
Entertain group contacts on property and in the marketplace, including outside normal business hours when business needs require.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in one-on-one meetings with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Attend meetings related to the Group Sales department.
Maintain the highest ethical standards while representing Hyatt Regency Dallas.

QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
A minimum of 3-5 years of full-service hotel sales experience.
Successful experience with hotel business development.
Experience working with CVB teams and partner hotels.
Experience working with complex sales agreements.
Experience selling a destination as well as a property.
