Larpen Metallurgical Service is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team and manage customer relationships and sales growth throughout the Southeast United States.
The Sales Manager is responsible for representing Larpen within the assigned territory. This position will focus on developing and strengthening customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, increasing product line penetration, and achieving established sales and gross profit objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who understands industrial markets and enjoys working directly with customers to develop long-term business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities Customer Relations & Business Development- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer decision-makers and influencers throughout the Southeast territory.
- Conduct regular customer visits, sales calls, telephone communications, technical meetings, product trials, and follow-up activities.
- Develop new customer relationships and pursue opportunities to increase market share.
- Serve as a trusted resource to customers by providing product information, technical support, and solutions that address their specific needs.
- Understand customer operations, product usage, purchasing practices, quality requirements, business strategies, and competitive landscape.
- Negotiate sales and commercial terms to maximize value for both the customer and Larpen.
- Represent Larpen professionally at trade associations, industry events, customer meetings, and other business functions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive customer and market information to support sales strategy and company decision-making.
- Establish and monitor sales objectives designed to maximize market penetration, revenue, and gross profit.
- Maintain an ongoing sales action plan and adjust strategies based on market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity.
- Manage territory sales expenses within established guidelines and budget.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer requirements, and opportunities for growth.
- Prepare and maintain sales reports, forecasts, account profiles, market research, competitive reports, and other required documentation.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with other Sales Managers and other internal support teams.
- Communicate customer needs, market opportunities, competitive intelligence, and product feedback to the appropriate internal teams.
- Assist with employee training and ongoing product and industry education.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Proven experience in industrial, manufacturing, metals, steel, foundry, or related B2B sales preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Successful track record of growing sales and developing new business.
- Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand customer operations and translate customer needs into effective product and service solutions.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader sales and technical team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customers, opportunities, and priorities.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned Southeast territory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales management systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the territory.
