Human Health​/Ecological Risk Assessor

Job Description

Human Health and/or Ecological Risk Assessor (Entry‑Level, Full‑Time) – Germantown, MD office (remote or hybrid possible). Expected start:
Summer 2026.

• Experience with running R software
• Support a wide range of projects for private and government clients throughout the U.S. (and internationally).
• Perform risk assessments in accordance with regulatory guidance and project‑specific work plans.
• Collaborate with internal project teams, including delegating to junior staff.
• Assist with technical deliverables; including writing reports and performing/reviewing risk assessment calculations.
• Develop knowledge of federal and state regulations/guidance documents for conducting risk assessments.
• Maintaining work quality, quantity, and efficiency at or above company standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, Public Health, Environmental Health or other related areas.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Relevant years of experience performing human health and/or ecological risk assessments in an environmental consulting setting.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with R software, Microsoft Excel and Word.
