Lead Sorter

Job Description

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Sorter at our Prince George's County MRF located in Capitol Heights, MD. This role serves as lead sorter on sorting lines at our materials recycling facility providing guidance, oversight, and training to MES and contractual employees. Ensures the successful sorting and segregation of recyclable items including aluminum, plastic, paper, cardboard, and steel.

Provides feedback to supervisory personnel to ensure that work conforms to product and facility specifications.

• Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalency certificate, and one year of experience in environmental services, waste management, or a related field.
• Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. MES does not participate in programs that require sponsorship for work visas.

This position will be open until filled. This position is eligible for on-spot, contingent offers.
