Nuclear Physics AI Training Expert

You will help train AI systems to answer nuclear physics questions accurately and safely. You will use AI-generated responses and reference answers to provide structured expert feedback.

The work is marked entry level for AI training, and prior AI training experience is not required. Strong real-world knowledge of nuclear physics is the main qualification.

• Create prompts and high-quality reference answers about radioactive decay, nuclear structure, fission, fusion, radiation interactions, detectors, shielding, nuclear energy, and safety-aware scientific explanations.
• Evaluate and rank AI answers for scientific accuracy, physical reasoning, unit consistency, calculation quality, safety awareness, clarity, and relevance.
• Find unsafe or misleading radiation content, made-up facts, incorrect formulas, flawed calculations, unsupported claims, and overconfident interpretations.
• Write precise corrections, rewrites, and model answers that show sound nuclear physics reasoning.

This is a part-time contractor role with a commitment of at least 20 hours per week. Payment is hourly in USD.

You need strong nuclear physics knowledge and the ability to give detailed written feedback in English. The role requires careful, independent work against detailed quality rules.

  A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, radiation science, applied physics, engineering physics, or a related field
• Experience:
  
  At least three years is preferred in nuclear physics, physics research, radiation science, nuclear engineering, teaching, tutoring, technical writing, academic review, or related scientific work
• Knowledge:
  Atomic nuclei, radioactive decay, half-life, binding energy, nuclear reactions, radiation types, fission, fusion, detectors, shielding, and radiation safety
• Quality skills:
  Careful checking of units, decay chains, reaction notation, isotope terms, dose concepts, calculations, and physical assumptions
• Work style:
  Able to work independently, follow detailed rubrics, and maintain consistent quality

AI training is the human work behind systems that generate answers, including writing examples, rating model responses, and correcting mistakes. People with subject expertise are paid to check whether AI reasoning is accurate, clear, and safe.
