Wetlands & Ecology Team in either our Westfield, MA;
Middletown, CT; or Shelton, CT
office, where you’ll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Our Wetlands and Ecology Team and Projects
Our Environmental Services team, composed of experienced professionals, provides comprehensive environmental permitting, planning, and compliance monitoring services across a range of projects. Our technical experts specialize in freshwater and coastal wetland delineations, environmental impact assessments, and wildlife and fishery habitat evaluations. We lead initiatives in climate change resiliency, wetland and ecological restoration, dam removal, and stream bank stabilization. Our work also includes rare species permitting, all aimed at ensuring sustainable development and environmental stewardship for our clients.
Responsibilities,Requirements, and Total Rewards
What You’ll Be Doing
As a valuable part of our Wetlands & Ecology Team
, an Environmental Scientist 1will support a variety of projects and gain hands‑on experience with responsibilities such as:
- Perform wetlands delineation fieldwork
- Perform construction environmental monitoring
- Assist with coastal and freshwater wetland permitting
- Presenting at public hearings
- Assist with report writing
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Natural Sciences field such as;
Environmental Science, Biology, Soil Science, Ecology, or another related field - Coursework in ecology, hydrology, botany, and soils
- Demonstrated ability in field data collection and analysis
- Strong technical writing skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment
- Resourceful, detail-oriented, organized, and strong time management skills
Preferred Requirements
- Master's degree in a Natural Sciences field
- Prior environmental consulting or regulatory experience
