Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Branch Patrol Driver in Boston, MA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as financial institutions and more. This is a driving post that may require moving between areas as needed, and you will carry while on duty. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls with calm, clear communication.

- Provide customer service to clients at financial institution locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures.
- Observe customer areas, teller lines, ATMs, and other high-traffic zones for unusual activity and report concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and public emergency services as directed.
- Complete routine checks of doors, gates, and controlled areas, and report maintenance issues or suspicious conditions to site contacts.
- Operate and/or monitor security-related systems such as cameras, radios, and alarm panels when assigned, documenting notable events.
- Write clear, timely incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate updates during shift handoffs.
- Follow weapons handling, storage, and use-of-force guidelines, maintaining required training, licensing, and qualification standards for the armed post.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver s license will be required for driving positions only.
