Flex Security Officers - On-Call

Position Overview

Flex Security Officers are being hired in Hanson, KY. The position offers a pay rate of $16.00 per hour, paid weekly. Hiring is immediate.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

Flex Officers provide trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes, enabling continual service to customers while protecting personnel work balance.

The Scheduling Parameters and Expectations for a Flex Officer differ from those of a fixed post employee. As a Flex Officer:

• You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks, this will not be permanent.
• Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
• You will be assigned to or offered the opportunity to accept shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
• Some shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who cannot work their shift.
• You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance that falls within the availability described on the schedule sheet. If you know you will be unavailable, you must communicate this with your supervisor.
• For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of shifts could negatively impact your employment status.

• Previous security, law enforcement, and/or military experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to work various shifts, days, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be flexible and team oriented.
• 1+ years of experience in a customer service role.
• Exceptional report writing skills.
• Must be reliable.
