Summary:

A Field Training Officer (FTO) is a state-credentialed position of advanced security experience that has proven an advanced knowledge of BH rules, regulations, and procedures as they pertain to the security department. An FTO performs security duties to include: protection of guests, patients and staff, their property and company assets. An FTO can perform all duties assigned to an SOI, SOII, or SOIII, and is assigned to the on-the-job training of SOIs to a competent level for advancement to SOII.

FTO is expected to respond to all types of emergency alarms in accordance with BH policies and procedures, often working with law enforcement during the execution of duties. Additionally, an FTO may be called upon to run shift as a Relief Shift Leader (RSL) in situations where there there is no availability of a Shift Leader or Relief Shift Leader.

Other information:

  • 1. Valid Arkansas Driver's License;
  • 2. Good driving record;
  • 3. No criminal record;
  • 4. Able to meet the state qualifications to obtain and maintain a security credential;
  • 5. Be at least 21 years of age;
  • 6. Must not use any nicotine or tobacco products in any form;
  • 7. High school graduate or GED;
  • 8. Been a member of the Baptist Health Security department for a minimum of 1 year;
  • 9. Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of security post orders and policies as well as BH rules, regulations, and procedures
  • 10. Consistently completed required training to include state mandated training, defensive tactics, MOAB, Oleorsin Capsicum, MRI safety, restraints, PPE, CPR, and signed off on all officer posts for the campus assigned.

This job will be authorized
80.00 hours bi-weekly.
