As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Alarm Response in Malvern, PA
, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management.
  • Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Familiarity with alarm panel operations is required for relevant positions.
  • Customer Service Experience (B219): Candidates must demonstrate a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and customers.
  • 21+ Years of Age (C101): All candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
  • Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED (C137): Candidates must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as part of the application process.
  • Lift Up to 20 lbs (B208): Candidates should be capable of lifting items weighing up to 20 pounds as required by the job responsibilities.

How This Role Works
  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Staff the front desk by greeting visitors, managing access in accordance with site procedures, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry activity, visitor logs, communications systems, and/or security-related equipment; report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of visitors, incidents, and other front-desk activities, while providing professional assistance and maintaining confidentiality as required.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
