Dispatcher# Dispatcher Hot Job Department of Justice - Washington DC, DC 20530## Overview Salary Range $22.00 - $29.00 Hourly Job Shift Any## Description The qualification requirement for the unarmed Dispatchers/Alarm Monitors CCTV Operators must have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in Control Center Operations including but not limited to dispatching, alarm console protocol, and CCTV and radio operations. Dispatchers assigned to these specific Control Centers must also have the disposition and communication, decision making, and organizational skills necessary to maintain orderly and efficient Control Center operations.
Unarmed contract employees who perform Control Center dispatcher/alarm monitor/and CCTV operator duties at applicable facilities. Dispatchers assigned to these Control Centers shall also have the disposition and communication, decision making, and organizational skills necessary to maintain orderly and efficient Control Center operations.## Qualifications Shall be a United States citizen, eighteen (18) years of age or older
Shall be able to read, write, and speak the English language and perform assigned duties.
Shall have, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
Dispatchers/Alarm Monitors/CCTV Operators who are assigned to operate the JPS Control Centers in applicable facilities shall have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in Control Center Operations including but not limited to dispatching and alarm console protocol and CCTV and radio operations.
** Personnel assigned to these duties must receive**: A minimum of 40 hour NENA (National Emergency Number Association) or equivalent forty (40) hour course, a minimum of 24 hours of detailed Control Center/Dispatch/Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) training including, but not limited to Interpersonal Communications;
Telephone Technology and Procedures;
Radio Technology and Procedures;
Critical Incident Handling; and Alarm Monitoring Training which must include, but not limited to, hold-up duress alarms, PIN duress alarms, system supervisory alarms, command file notifications, restore alarm commands, AEGIS auto photo procedures, emergency air handler shelter-in-place procedures and fire alarm detection systems and response. Dispatchers assigned to these Control Centers shall also have the disposition and communication, decision making, and organizational skills necessary to maintain orderly and efficient Control Center operations.
