The Asset Protection Agent supports Evergreen Goodwill’s loss prevention, security, safety, and asset protection efforts across assigned locations. Working under the direction of the Area Asset Protection Manager, the Asset Protection Agent actively seeks to prevent the loss of organizational assets resulting from internal and external causes.
This position conducts surveillance and investigations, identifies and addresses theft and fraud concerns, performs safety and operational compliance audits, assists with physical security initiatives, and prepares timely documentation of incidents and findings. The Asset Protection Agent serves as a field-based resource supporting safe operations, asset protection programs, and loss reduction strategies across Evergreen Goodwill facilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Asset Protection & Investigations- Conduct surveillance and investigative activities to identify, deter, and address internal and external theft, fraud, and asset protection concerns.
- Utilize CCTV systems, sales floor observations, reporting tools, and other approved methods to identify loss trends and suspicious activity.
- Investigate incidents involving theft, fraud, policy violations, vandalism, and security concerns.
- Prepare timely, detailed, and accurate reports documenting incidents, investigations, observations, and recommendations.
- Assist Asset Protection leadership with identifying root causes of shrink and operational loss.
- Promptly communicate significant incidents and findings to Asset Protection leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive investigations and employee information.
- Conduct and document operational compliance, asset protection, and safety audits in a timely manner.
- Identify workplace safety concerns, operational vulnerabilities, and compliance risks.
- Support store and operational leadership in maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Promote compliance with company policies, asset protection standards, and safety procedures.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, accidents, and near-miss incidents according to established procedures.
- Perform physical security inspections at assigned facilities.
- Assist with monitoring, maintenance coordination, troubleshooting, and operational support of CCTV, intrusion alarm, and access control systems.
