• Serve as a positive representative for Penn West’s Department of Safety and Risk Management. You will be expected to demonstrate the department’s values.

• Perform monthly inspections of campus fire extinguishers, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), ADA automatic door openers, and other assigned items.
• Maintain electronic records of inspections.
• Reports deficiencies and/or safety concerns to your supervisor for corrective action.
• Assist the Safety and Risk Management personnel with assigned duties.
• Escort safety-related vendors/contractors as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality. Safety Assistants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
• Must be in good standing with Office of Student Conduct.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
