The Staff Pad has partnered with an organization in the Durant/Ada, Oklahoma area to hire a Field Service Technician
. This is a full-time, road-based role supporting customers through on-site service and repair of office technology equipment.
Field Service Technician
Schedule: Full-Time
Travel: Extensive local travel (“Road Warrior”)
Pay Range: $15.00 – $22.50/hour (based on experience)
Position OverviewThe Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site maintenance, repair, and basic installation of office equipment at customer locations. This role focuses on delivering timely, professional service while maintaining equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform on-site repair and maintenance of copiers, printers, scanners, and multifunction devices
- Troubleshoot hardware and non-printing technical issues
- Conduct basic equipment setup and installation at customer sites
- Refurbish and repair used equipment, including cleaning and testing
- Maintain accurate parts inventory in service vehicle
- Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and service documentation to resolve issues
- Perform in-shop equipment repair and setup as needed
- Provide courteous, efficient customer service at all times
- Participate in training to maintain and expand technical knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical school, related experience, or equivalent combination of education and training preferred
- Basic computer skills; networking knowledge a plus
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a service territory
- A+ certification preferred
- Network-related certifications or training a plus
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record required
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening in compliance with federal regulations
- Frequent driving and operation of service vehicles
- Ability to lift, move, and repair equipment and components
- Regular use of tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery
- Exposure to customer sites and equipment environments
