What You Will Do
Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment or system malfunctions.
Contact the customer representative and ascertain equipment or system problems.
Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial applications, including wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre‑action, deluge, and fire pumps.
How You Will Do ItFollow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, modification notices, etc. to diagnose and repair equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
Work independently and maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
Required Qualifications- Five or more years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler industry performing service and repair on sprinkler and suppression systems.
- Retain any licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
- Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting company requirements.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
- Work in unusual or difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment up to 60feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
- Understand and follow all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
- NICET LevelII certification is a plus.
Hourly range: $28.71–$39.50. The hourly rate will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
