Security Technician

The Role
  • Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of security equipment such as alarm systems, CCTV, access control, intercoms, gates, and computer networks.
  • Install new systems and upgrades with accuracy to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Uphold company and industry standards for quality within recognized guidelines.
  • Resolve client concerns and provide exceptional customer service, making recommendations where appropriate to ensure optimal system function.
  • Maintain accurate service records, including detailed notes and inventory.
  • Work at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, and lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to work safely in a construction site environment is a must.
Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the security industry, with in-depth knowledge of IP Cameras, access control, and intrusion systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install equipment is required.
  • Comfort with working at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, and lifting 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to work safely in a construction site environment is a must.
  • High degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Motivated self-starter and effective team player.
  • Must have a clean criminal record and a valid driver’s license.

This is a full-time permanent position with a very attractive compensation package including benefits, pension matching, and other employee incentives. Positions are being filled in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
