Job Summary

Ground Tactical Engagement Systems (TES) consists of simulation and training equipment including but not limited to the following:

Instrumentable Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Systems (I-MILES) Combat Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (CV TESS), Opposing forces Surrogate Tracked Vehicle (OSTV), Opposing Forces Surrogate Vehicle (OSV) , Opposing forces Surrogate Wheeled Vehicle (OSWV), I-MILES Tactical Vehicle System (TVS), I-MILES Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (V TESS) Basic and Delta Kits, I-MILES Individual Weapons Systems (IWS & IWS/2) + Mirror Alignment Jig Kit (MAJiK & MAJiK-V2), I-MILES Shoulder Launched Munitions (SLM), I-MILES Universal Controller Device (UCD), MK-19, TOW Improved Target Acquisition System – Tactical Engagement Simulation System (ITAS-TESS), MILES 2000 Laser Target Interface Device (LTID), MILES-Basic Small Arms Alignment Fixture (SAAF) and STINGER.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Working Lead in sustainment and repair of Ground Tactical Engagement Systems (TES) with focus on CV TESS, TVS, V TESS and other vehicle platforms
  • Surge to repair other Ground-TES devices as directed by the Field Operations Lead.
  • Performs scheduled and corrective maintenance on Ground TES Devices and GFP, following technical manuals, system maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available.
  • Leads electronic maintenance activities including resourcing and training other electronic technicians.
  • Informs the Field Operations Lead of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes or to support increased demand.
  • Ensures maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing. Records all maintenance activities in real-time in InSite.
  • Adheres to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number, and location.
  • Monitors hardware baselines, reverting to previous versions if updates fail.
  • Analyzes maintenance trends, tracks component consumption, manages obsolescence, implements risk management strategies, and conducts failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability.
  • Responsible for configuration management of all maintenance on TADSS, and GFP devices.
  • May serve as a lead onsite.
  • Installs modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Performs maintenance instruction.

  • May be responsible for installing and maintaining software and hardware installs and managing patches and security compliance for installed applications and operating systems.
Qualifications

Degree(s)/Years of

Experience:

10+BA/BS or 5+MA/MS or 6+AA/No Degree

Certification(s):

Basic Electronic Technical Certificate or equivalent

Desired Experience
