As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, mentor junior technicians, and grow your own skills.

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE—including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49 lb, stand, walk, and climb ladders or gangways safely during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, performing regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.

• Perform daily equipment inspections and checks on conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Execute planned maintenance tasks using a CMMS system.
• Complete and document preventive maintenance work orders.
• Respond to and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on recurring issues.

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at CVG5 is a vital part of Amazon’s world‑class maintenance organization, responsible for maintaining and optimizing our advanced fulfillment center’s operations. Our skilled professionals work 24/7 to ensure peak performance of automated systems, material handling equipment, and facility infrastructure. We pride ourselves on a safety‑first culture, technical excellence, and a collaborative approach to solving complex maintenance challenges.

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Certification from Amazon’s Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
• 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE).

• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
• 2+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience.
• Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 2+ years of Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship experience.

USA, KY, Hebron – 32.00 – 33.00 USD hourly

The starting pay for this position includes a base rate plus the highest available shift differential, depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location. Starting Day 1 of employment, Amazon offers EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, and 401(k) matching.
