Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine troubleshooting and repair on equipment and support systems as required.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform routine trouble shooting and repair on equipment and support systems as required
Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement Events
Fabricate fixtures, jigs and carts per drawings approved by management or plant engineer.
Request the purchase of all needed supplies or parts.
Document necessary information.
Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized.
Perform proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment being used.
Follow all safety guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsible for actively participating in the maintenance and execution of National Office Furniture Emergency Action Plan.
Supports 5S initiatives
Implement process improvements.
Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.
Follow and support the Quality system.
Performs job rotation as directed.
Support our Environmental Management System (EMS).

Ability to use, drill press, lathes, milling machines, metal sheer, pipe threader, etc.
Basic knowledge of electricity, safe work practices
Ability to run conduit and pull electrical wire.
Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Able to maintain forms as appropriate.
Able to use required gauges and measuring devices
Able to use load moving devices
