Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, repair, and rebuilding of plant machinery and miscellaneous equipment. The role ensures optimal availability of machinery through preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications as required.

• Perform all necessary repairs and/or modifications to plant machinery or equipment.
• Rebuild or replace machinery components such as gearboxes, bearings, and other parts.
• Fabricate metal plates for chutes, structures, etc., including cutting and welding.
• Execute preventive maintenance procedures as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Perform Level 2 or higher maintenance on equipment within area of responsibility.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Support production supervisor and perform any additional duties as required.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in industrial maintenance and repairs preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including in hot or cold weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in high places.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Willingness to wear all necessary PPE.
• Basic computer skills for email, word documents, and work request completion.

The employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, and outdoor weather. Tasks may include walking, standing, sitting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The work environment is approximately 100% plant-based.

Full time and permanent.
