Lumafield is a manufacturing technology company founded in 2019 that builds industrial CT scanning systems and AI-driven manufacturing tools. This Field Service Engineer role involves commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining Lumafield scanners at customer sites, with significant travel and direct customer interaction.
What You'll Do- Commission and calibrate Lumafield scanners at customer installations
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair services at customer sites with frequent travel (75%)
- Create, update, and maintain technical training materials and safety guidelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve computer, electrical, and mechanical issues in the field
- Conduct hands‑on prototype integration, soldering, crimping, and component testing
- Technical expertise across computer, electrical, and mechanical systems including sensors and actuators
- Proficiency with Linux systems
- Ability to troubleshoot computer, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Proficiency with common hand tools (drill, torque wrench, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for remote team support and customer service reports
- Hands‑on prototype integration experience with soldering and crimping
- Experience in a customer‑facing technical service environment
