Position Overview
Wastewater Operator at Woodard & Curran in Worthington, Minnesota, supporting a food processing plant wastewater treatment facility.
ResponsibilitiesThe operator will perform process monitoring and adjustments, and conduct basic to advanced mechanical and electrical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, HVAC equipment, VFDs, power systems, and other electrical equipment. The operator will also participate in daily operations and maintenance directed by the plant manager.
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Operators are on‑call for coverage outside normal work hours and may work rotating short shifts on weekends and holidays, responding to emergencies and inclement weather as needed.
Qualifications- Wastewater license not required but preferred.
- Experience operating and maintaining pumps, motors, electrical and automation equipment, plumbing fixtures, boilers, and compressors.
- High school or trade school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions in wastewater treatment.
- Computer skills and ability to use programs such as Hach WIMS, SEMS CMMS, and Utility Cloud.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift or move up to 40 lb.
- Sound decision‑making in process control and adherence to safety procedures.
- Required to pass a background check, physical exam, and drug screen.
