Job Overview
Job Summarry Operate drilling equipment to bore holes for various construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
Job Responsibilities- Operate and maintain a variety of drilling equipment, including but not limited to, directional drills, auger drills, and rock drills.
- Prepare drill sites, including setting up equipment, ensuring proper alignment, and performing pre-operational checks.
- Monitor drilling operations, including drill depth, pressure, and rotation, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and utility maps to determine drill path and avoid existing infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment.
- Document drilling progress, daily logs, and equipment inspections.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Drill Operator, preferably with directional drilling experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of drilling techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
