Location: Northern
The Carpenter performs demolition, rough carpentry, and detailed finish work to ensure structures are weather tight and completed to high-quality standards and comply with building codes. Work is performed under the supervision of the Project Manager and includes both interior and exterior construction tasks.
Key Responsibilities:Demolition & Protection:
Move furniture, protect surfaces, and demolish structures as directed.
Rough Carpentry:
Frame floors, walls, decks, and roofs; install windows, doors, siding, roofing, and decking with proper weather protection. Measure, mark, and arrange materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors. Use various hand and power tools.
Finish Carpentry:
Install interior/exterior trim, stairs, cabinetry, built-ins, and hardware with precision.
General Duties:
Generate daily material lists, maintain trailer organization, ensure building code compliance, and follow safety procedures.
- OSHA-10 certificate (or obtain within first 90 days).
- Ability to understand directions and read/interpreting construction documents and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry principles and building materials. Proficiency with construction methods, building codes, carpentry, and hand/power tools.
- Advanced math skills, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
- Comfortable using a smartphone and email.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
