Location: Mount Sterling

Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning seeks an experienced HVAC Service Tech to provide residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and indoor air quality service. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems; performing preventive maintenance; completing start-ups; and recommending energy-efficient solutions. The tech will interact directly with customers, explain findings and options, and ensure safe, code-compliant work. This field-based role requires strong technical skills, reliability, clean documentation, and a commitment to teamwork, safety, and long-term client relationships across varied job sites and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on heating and cooling equipment
  • Start up, test, and balance new or replaced HVAC equipment
  • Assess system performance and recommend energy-efficient improvements
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards, codes, and company guidelines
  • Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, and pricing
  • Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service tickets
  • Maintain company tools, vehicle, and inventory in clean, safe condition
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex service issues
  • Respond to service calls in a timely, professional manner

Required Skills

  • HVAC system troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Electrical and low-voltage wiring for HVACRefrigeration cycle knowledge and charging procedures
