Electric Line Worker

Required Florida Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or higher, for both manual and automatic transmission, with an acceptable driving record

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of a recognized line worker apprenticeship program

Minimum five (5) years of experience working with energized overhead and underground electrical distribution systems

Experience climbing wood poles and performing high-voltage line work

Preferred

Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Intermediate Certification, or ability to obtain.

Experience with switching operations, troubleshooting, and outage restoration on electric distribution systems.

Experience with underground residential distribution (URD) installation and repair.

OSHA Competent Person in Charge of Excavation certification, or ability to obtain.

OSHA Confined Space Entrant/Attendant certification, or ability to obtain.
