Job Overview
Job Summary:
The Lucy
- Laborer Renewables (Non-driver) will perform general labor duties to support the construction and maintenance of renewable energy projects. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople, preparing worksites, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment without the requirement of operating company vehicles.
- Assist with the assembly and installation of solar panels, wind turbine components, and other renewable energy infrastructure.
- Perform general site cleanup and organization, including debris removal, sweeping, and material handling.
- Dig trenches, excavate foundations, and prepare ground for construction activities using hand tools.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, moving them to designated areas on the job site.
- Operate small hand tools and power tools as directed and trained.
- Follow all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support skilled craftspeople (e.g., electricians, carpenters, ironworkers) with various tasks.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of temporary structures and equipment.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Prior experience in a construction or industrial labor role is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and climbing.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.).
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all company and site-specific safety regulations.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- No driver's license required for this specific role.
